During a continuous competiton with international companies in 1994, Polyduct certified for ISO 9001 quality standards, which was not typical in those years. Short after that, due to the appearance of large multinational companies, the competition on the national pipe market was growing.
In order to manage the situation caused by the competition in the middle of the 90s, the management of the company proposed a development program. According to that, an apport, the property of the production plant from KITE to Polyduct gave a basis of the introduction of rotation moulding technique. That was rarely known those days in Hungary. The ownership of the company approved the development program, raised capital stock over 200 million HUF and an investment of more than 100 million HUF started at the same time.
Objective of the three-year program was to develop a new business line by the time when our situation on the pipe market became weak. The new business line was to cover introduction of own-developed products on the markets and the operation of professional sales team.
The complex economic, technical and management knowledge and experience – know-how – evolved by the end of 1999 were still rare even internationally and covered the practice of product- and toll planning, production, marketing and industrial supply. Therefore our products have been well-known at the markets of urban and environmental products and of public services and with municipality clients.
Interest in our environmental and public service product lines increased and our products had, already at the beginning of the business, met the quality requirements of the European Union. In order to meet higher expectations, a new quality assurance system was introduced in 2003, ISO 14001 environment management system. By that time, all activities of the company were covered by a single management system, which has enabled us to monitor the life of the product from raw material supply to delivery.
Reachingexternal markets started in 2008, in which year the value of our export businesses was multiplied. Organizational development was carried out at our sales unit and the new structure has been since serving our direct, wide business relations and the company’s continuous development.
Our employees are committed to the values of Polyduct, being today a stable, well-managed middle-size company. Its continuous developments serve sound basis for the ownership and the people from Nádudvar employed by Polyduct.
We are proud to the extent of contribution we had in the introduction and spread of environmental technologies in Hungary, which gives sound background for achieving new and new business success at national and external markets.
